Story

Angela's journey began in Indianapolis, where she started her fostering experience with Helping Paws Adoptable Animals in 2020. It was during this time that she met Thomas, a German Shepherd puppy facing significant medical challenges. After three months of caring for him, Angela decided to pursue her passion for veterinary medicine and applied to a Veterinary Technology program. She earned her degree in 2022 and became a licensed RVT in 2023, transitioning from general practice to emergency medicine after two years of work. After eight months of fostering, Angela couldn’t resist adopting Thomas once he was neutered, even with ongoing medical care. He joined her crew, which includes her lively Pitbull Charlotte, her loyal Black Lab Kingston, and her curious cat Ophelia. Together, they make a fun and loving family, showing just how committed Angela is to giving every animal a shot at happiness. Her experience in pet care started with pet-sitting for friends and family - and friends of friends of family before thinking about a career in Veterinary Medicine. Her life-long love of all animals, big and small, is proven through her dedication to her clients and their furry best friends.

Brian's journey began with an unexpected move from Tulsa to Indianapolis in 2016, where he seized the opportunity to intern with his best friend and Master K9 Trainer, Jake Skillet. Balancing a full-time warehouse job the evenings with rigorous training sessions during the day, he earned his Master K9 Trainer certification in 2018. Specializing in Basic and Advanced Obedience, Personal Protection, and scent training, Brian also welcomed Belgian Malinois puppy named Indie into his life. Together they forged a remarkable bond, with Indie evolving into a highly trained companion in personal protection and an arsenal of impressive skills.

During his time at VonBernd K9 Training, Brian met Angela while working on a board and train program for her Shepherd, Thomas. Over the course of a year, their partnership blossomed beyond training as they discovered a deeper connection. Since 2022, they have built a strong bond by their shared passions for animals, comedy, great outdoors, and delicious food. Together, they continue to embrace life with excitement and adventure.
